A couple of weeks ago, I traveled to Miami Beach with a couple of girl friends for our last Spring Break. We stayed near South Beach at the Catalina Hotel and Beach Club. Honestly, it was one of the best vacations I’ve ever had. With our hotels amenities, like the bamboo and rooftop pools, a free happy hour, and great weather, nothing could have made the trip better.
A few weeks ago, I spent a long weekend visiting my friend, Mary, in Philadelphia, PA. In just a few days, we managed to eat too much sushi, watch a Mummers Parade, visit historical sites, and shop (a lot). Overall, it was an incredible weekend and I recommend Philly to anyone looking for a getaway.
After four years of attending university, I’ve finally found my everyday winter outfit. Most days, I’m either running to class after work or heading to a coffeeshop to do homework. No matter what’s on my daily to-do list, I always turn to an oversized knit sweater and my structured denim skinny jeans.
Looking at the New Year fresh ahead, one of my resolutions is to try and be my best self every day. Whether I have an exam that day or no plans to leave my bed, I want to prioritize appreciating myself. To me, that means spending an extra ten minutes in the morning getting ready. By taking the time to wash my face, perfect my eyeliner flick, and apply lipstick, I know the rest of my day will be full of confidence and smiles.
I’ve never been one for kimonos, exotic prints, loose jeans or tassels. I know, I hate me too.
It’s not that I don’t like 1970s influenced clothes, because let’s be honest, who doesn’t like Free People? It’s just that my personal style and body shape have never really meshed with the boho, loose-fitting fashion trends.
